Business Development Executive

 

Description:

The Business Development Executive is responsible for strengthening the organization's sales pipeline through systematic prospecting, outreach, lead qualification, and nurturing. The role focuses on identifying and engaging potential clients, qualifying prospects against defined criteria, and ensuring a consistent flow of sales-ready leads to the sales team.

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Sales Funnel Development & Support

 

Increase the volume and quality of leads entering the sales funnel by delivering qualified prospects that align with business growth objectives.

 

2. Prospecting & Market Research

 

Identify ideal customer profiles (ICPs) and conduct targeted research using CRM systems, LinkedIn, databases, and relevant industry sources.

 

3. Outreach & Prospect Engagement

 

Execute structured, multi-channel outreach including cold calls, personalized emails, and professional social media engagement to initiate and maintain prospect relationships.

 

4. Lead Qualification & Nurturing

 

Evaluate, score, and prioritize leads based on predefined qualification criteria, while executing lead-nurturing activities to improve conversion readiness.

 

5. Data Management & Reporting

 

Maintain accurate lead data in CRM and sales intelligence platforms, monitor key performance metrics, and collaborate closely with sales or business development teams to ensure effective lead handover and continuous process improvement.

 

Qualifications & Skills

 

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Management, Marketing/Sales, or a related field.

 

Experience: Previous experience (0-6 months) in lead generation, business development support, SDR, or inside sales roles.

 

Communication Skills: Strong professional communication skills with the ability to engage prospects clearly and confidently.

 

KPIs & CRM: Experience working with CRM systems, meeting lead-generation KPIs, maintaining data accuracy, and consistently achieving outreach and qualification targets.
