Description:
We are seeking an experienced Software Program Manager to bridge Product Management and Project Management, with a stronger emphasis on Product ownership. In this role, you will be responsible for translating business and customer needs into clear product requirements and specifications while also driving execution across cross-functional teams. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, QA and client stakeholders to define priorities, manage delivery and ensure successful outcomes. The ideal candidate has strong product thinking, excellent specification writing skills, and the ability to effectively manage stakeholders, people, priorities and scope while navigating complex delivery environments.
Responsibilities
- Own product discovery, requirement gathering and business analysis.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Manage product backlog, priorities and roadmap alignment while proactively handling scope changes and negotiating trade-offs across timelines, resources and business priorities.
- Create project plans, timelines, milestones, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with design, engineering, QA and client stakeholders.
- Track sprint progress, blockers, risks, and dependencies.
- Ensure timely delivery with scope, quality and budget control.
- Facilitate client meetings, demos, reviews and status updates.
- Support process improvement across product and delivery workflows.
- Support and mentor team members while fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, Management or a related field.
- 4-8 years of experience in Software Product and Project Management, Business Analysis or a related role.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, Scrum and delivery frameworks.
- Experience in requirement gathering, PRD/BRD documentation, backlog management, flowchart creation and wireframing.
- Ability to manage scope, timelines, risks and stakeholder expectations.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, ClickUp or similar tools.
- Strong communication, facilitation and client-facing skills.
- Strong people-management, team-coordination and leadership skills.
- Support process improvement across product and delivery workflows.
- Experience working with cross-functional software development teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with AI-powered productivity and development tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to improve product documentation, analysis and team productivity is a plus.
