Description:
We’re seeking a seasoned Senior ABAP Consultant to join our team and drive high-performance, structured development on SAP S/4HANA projects. You’ll partner closely with clients, analysts, and architects—offering insights and proposing optimized solutions rather than merely executing specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and extend SAP applications using ABAP with a structured, performance-first approach
- Build and enhance Core Data Services (CDS) views, including both new creations and extensions
- Implement object-oriented solutions, including OOP ALV grid frameworks
- Develop and maintain classic dialog screens where required
- Lead production and quality management enhancements, leveraging relevant BAPIs and database tables
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand processes end-to-end and translate requirements into robust technical designs
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve performance, maintainability, and user experience
- Mentor junior developers and enforce best practices in code quality and documentation
Qualifications & Experience:
- 8+ years of hands-on ABAP development experience
- Mastery of structured programming principles and performance-tuning techniques
- Proven track record with CDS Views (creation and extension)
- Strong expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP and developing ALV grids with OOP
- Extensive experience in dialog screen development
- Deep familiarity with Production Order and Quality Management modules: BAPIs, user-exits, and core tables
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills—able to challenge and enhance specifications when appropriate
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss complex technical solutions at a business level
