Role Description

1) Execute L2 provisioning tasks for OCI (VCNs, subnets, gateways, compute) using approved patterns and templates.

2) Monitor OCI tenancy health, service limits, and alarms; remediate or escalate capacity constraints.

3) Apply standard security controls (network security lists, route rules, tags) and validate post-change outcomes.

4) Operate backup/DR configurations for OCI workloads; run periodic restore tests and record evidence.

5) Troubleshoot connectivity with on prem and other clouds (routing, DNS, security lists) and document fixes.

6) Perform patching and scheduled maintenance on OCI resources under change governance; complete post-change verification.

7) Ensure telemetry from OCI (metrics, logs) is integrated with monitoring/ITSM; address gaps promptly.

8) Maintain accurate documentation of compartments, policies, and resource mappings; update CMDB entries.

9) Assist migration waves into or out of OCI with build sheets, cutover checklists, and sanity checks.

10) Enforce tagging standards for ownership, cost, and security classification; correct drift.

11) Support cost reviews by identifying idle/oversized resources and proposing right sizing actions.

12) Validate IAM policies, dynamic groups, and access scopes for least privilege adherence.

13) Participate in incident bridges, providing OCI topology, metrics, and change context.

14) Keep runbooks and quick reference guides updated for common OCI tasks and issues.

15) Produce weekly service KPIs (availability, incidents, changes, cost deltas) for governance packs.

16) Operate and troubleshoot the JDE/E1 tiers in OCI (WebLogic domains, managed servers, OHS/Load Balancer, AIS, BSSV) following standard runbooks; coordinate with JDE application owners for deployments and cache/index refreshes.

17) Validate database/network prerequisites for JDE/E1 (service gateway, private endpoint patterns, data sources/JDBC, wallet configuration) and support failover drills for E1 services.

18) Execute compartment/VCN guardrail checks (policies, quotas, route/NSL drift), remediate non‑compliance, and raise deviations to Cloud Governance.
