Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle EPCM Consultant to join a long-term offshore engagement supporting enterprise-scale Finance and FP&A initiatives. This is a hands-on technical role focused on delivering robust profitability, cost allocation, and planning solutions using Oracle EPM technologies.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Oracle Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management (EPCM) along with solid working knowledge of Oracle EPBCS, enabling seamless integration between profitability models and planning processes. You will play a critical role in model design, allocation logic optimization, and production support while acting as a trusted advisor to Finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
EPCM Model Design & Configuration
- Design, develop, and maintain EPCM models aligned with business requirements
- Configure and optimize cost and revenue allocation models, drivers, POVs, and calculation logic
- Develop allocation rules and calculation scripts ensuring accuracy, auditability, and performance
- Implement traceability and reconciliation mechanisms across models
Production Support
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, data discrepancies, and system defects
- Enhance job reliability through monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive solutions
EPBCS – Projects Module
- Configure Projects module components including drivers, forms, smart lists, and mappings
- Support integration of actuals and forecasting processes
- Ensure alignment and consistency between EPCM and EPBCS data flows
Metadata & Governance
- Manage dimensions, hierarchies, and mappings in collaboration with metadata teams (EDMCS)
- Ensure proper versioning, governance, and change control across EPM applications
Performance Optimization
- Analyze and optimize model performance, including calculation sequencing and data processing
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in large-scale allocation environments
Business Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance and FP&A teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Provide guidance on Oracle EPM best practices and clearly communicate technical concepts
Agile Delivery
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and reviews
- Develop clear technical documentation and acceptance criteria
- Ensure alignment with Agile delivery methodologies
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Oracle EPM or enterprise technology consulting
Oracle EPCM (Mandatory – 4+ Years)
- Strong hands-on experience with EPCM model configuration, allocation rules, POVs, and drivers
- Proven expertise in optimizing complex cost and revenue allocation models
Oracle EPBCS (2+ Years)
- Experience with forms, business rules, Data Management, and security configuration
- Exposure to at least one EPBCS planning module
Projects Module
- Experience implementing or supporting EPBCS Projects module
- Familiarity with actuals integration and project-level reporting
Integration & Data Management
- Experience with EPM Data Management and integrations (flat files/APIs)
- Knowledge of data mapping, drill-through, and reconciliation processes
Calculation & Scripting
- Experience with Calc Manager and business rule development
- Exposure to Groovy scripting or equivalent
Data Modeling
- Strong understanding of EPM dimensional models (Accounts, Entities, Products, Projects, etc.)
- Solid grasp of financial allocation and profitability concepts
Agile & SDLC
- Experience working in Agile environments (2–3 week sprints)
- Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, and release management
Communication Skills
- Strong ability to translate finance requirements into technical solutions
- Effective stakeholder communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or other iPaaS tools
- Hands-on experience with EDMCS for metadata governance
- Proficiency in Smart View and end-user enablement
- Experience with Oracle ERP Cloud (Projects or Financials integration)
- Strong performance tuning experience in large-scale environments
- Industry experience in Financial Services or complex allocation models
- Relevant certifications in Oracle EPM Cloud or Agile methodologies (CSM, PSM I)
