Medical Biller

Description:

MBNC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Medical Biller to join our dynamic healthcare revenue cycle management team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end medical billing processes, including claims submission, payment posting, denial management, AR follow-up, and patient billing inquiries. Proficiency with industry-standard billing software and a deep understanding of payer policies and compliance regulations is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage complete RCM workflow from charge entry to payment posting.

- Prepare and submit accurate electronic and paper claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurers.

- Conduct verification of benefits (VOB) and prior authorizations for procedures and treatments.

- Perform timely accounts receivable (AR) follow-ups to ensure claim resolution and payment recovery.

- Address and resolve claim denials, rejections, and appeals efficiently.

- Accurately post insurance and patient payments, and reconcile accounts.

- Handle patient billing inquiries, ensuring clear and professional communication.

- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, insurance regulations, and internal company policies.

- Analyze and report on billing trends, claim issues, and reimbursement discrepancies.

- Collaborate with providers, payers, and internal departments to optimize revenue.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Minimum 5 years of medical billing experience in a multispecialty or high-volume setting.

- In-depth knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and billing guidelines.

- Proficient in using EMR/EHR systems (e.g., ECW, Athenahealth, Kareo, AdvancedMD, etc).

- Strong knowledge of payer policies and the appeal process for denied/rejected claims.

- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
