Description:
The Solar Import Executive will be responsible for managing end-to-end import activities related to solar panels, inverters, batteries, and related equipment. This role involves supplier coordination, documentation handling, logistics follow-ups, and ensuring timely and cost-effective imports in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with international suppliers and manufacturers for solar products
- Prepare and manage import documentation (Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO, etc.)
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and clearing agents
- Track shipments and ensure timely delivery to the warehouse
- Ensure compliance with import regulations, customs, and company policies
- Calculate landed cost including duties, taxes, and logistics charges
- Coordinate with finance and warehouse teams for smooth clearance and inventory handover
- Maintain accurate records of imports, costs, and supplier details
- Follow up on any shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies
- Support the procurement team in sourcing reliable solar suppliers
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in imports, preferably in solar or electrical products
- Good understanding of import procedures and customs clearance
- Strong communication skills (email & coordination)
- Proficient in MS Excel and documentation handling
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Incoterms is a plus
