Description:
You will own the retail client business end to end: profit and loss, client growth, service quality, and regulatory standing. You'll build the functional heads, the operating procedures, and the culture from the ground up, and you'll be the senior face of the firm with PMEX and SECP on retail matters. You report to the CEO and sit on the leadership team.
What you'll do
· Build and lead the retail business from launch through scale: sales and relationship management, dealing, operations and onboarding, and marketing and education.
· Own the retail profit and loss and present it to the board each month, with clear KPIs on acquisition cost, activation, revenue per client, and retention.
· Set and police the commission-tier framework and the rules that move clients between tiers.
· Run the weekly funnel review and the daily desk stand-up on the market, margin risk, and the onboarding queue.
· Act as our senior relationship owner with PMEX member services, marketing, and surveillance, and, together with compliance, with SECP's futures market division.
· Chair the retail risk committee: client exposure limits by tier, concentration alerts, stress tests, and incident reviews.
· Enforce the information barrier between our market-making desk and the retail business, and make sure every team member understands why it matters.
· Build a culture of quality-gated incentives, on-camera transparency, and honest client statistics.
What you bring
· Eight or more years in Pakistani capital markets, including at least three years in a senior role at a PMEX-licensed futures broker, such as head of commodities, COO, or general manager of brokerage, with direct responsibility for client accounts and revenue.
· A track record you can evidence: you have overseen a retail commodities book of at least 1,000 active PMEX clients or PKR 50 million or more of annual PMEX brokerage revenue.
· Working knowledge of the Futures Market Act 2016, the Futures Brokers (Licensing and Operations) Regulations2018, the PMEX Rulebook, the SECP AML/CFT Regulations 2020, and the NCCPL capital gains tax regime for PMEXclients.
· Experience on the receiving end of at least one SECP inspection or PMEX compliance review, and the ability to explain what was examined and what changed afterward.
· Hands-on understanding of PMEX operations: MT5 Manager, the broker back-office portal, Direct Fund Mode, End of-Day certification, margin schedules, and liquidation thresholds.
· Experience building or scaling a sales or relationship-manager team with incentives tied to client quality, not just volume.
· The IFMP Commodity Brokers Certification, or another IFMP certification with a commitment to sit the commodity exam during probation.
· Fluent Urdu and English, and the confidence to appear on camera and in front of a board.
Nice to have
· Experience launching a digital account-opening journey, on PSX Sahulat or PMEX, and connecting it to a CRM.
· Exposure to a market-making or proprietary desk and the controls that separate it from client business.
· Experience running a registered-agent or introducer network.
· An MBA, CFA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
