Deputy Chief Resident Engineer

Description:

We are hiring a Deputy Chief Resident Engineer for a major hydropower development in KPK Pakistan. The role calls for an accomplished civil engineering professional with a strong record of managing large construction projects and leading site teams in complex environments.

• Oversee day-to-day execution of civil and structural works for the hydropower project.
• Ensure that project activities are delivered on schedule and meet quality, technical, and safety standards.
• Supervise and guide engineering and construction teams to achieve project targets efficiently.
• Liaise with contractors and project partners to resolve technical or coordination issues.
• Monitor progress, prepare reports, and support management in decision-making.
• Promote effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders involved in the project.

With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.

Suitable applicants will have/be:

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university; a postgraduate qualification in project or construction management will be considered an advantage.
• Minimum 20 years of professional experience, including extensive work on large-scale infrastructure or hydropower projects.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role overseeing construction teams or managing project delivery.
• Solid understanding of project planning, contract management, and quality control.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in challenging site conditions.
