Description:

We are seeking a detail-driven, systems-oriented Production File Technician to join our Pre-Production team. This is a technical execution role, not a creative or customer-facing position. You’ll be responsible for transforming customer-submitted artwork into precise, machine-ready files used in the fabrication of custom illuminated channel letters and signage.

You’ll use specialized software and internal systems to ensure jobs are fully prepped for routing, vinyl, bending, and packing—setting the tone for production accuracy and throughput.

Key Responsibilities

· CAD (Computer Aided Design) software experience, bonus if also knows about CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) software.

● Format and scale customer-provided vector files using Adobe Illustrator, FlexiSign, EnRoute, and LED Wizard

● Confirm stroke widths and vector paths meet production standards for LED placement and caulking

● Generate clean, machine-compatible files for routing, vinyl, letter bending, and hardware templates

● Populate channel letters with LED modules using LED Wizard

● Create crate layouts and packing references based on job dimensions and hardwarE

● Use QBO, HubSpot, and internal production trackers to complete file steps, note status, and stay aligned with the team

● Maintain version control, file naming conventions, and digital file cleanliness

● Collaborate with Estimating and Production Admin Support to clarify missing or unclear inputs

● Cross-train within pre-production for coverage and continuous learning

Required Qualifications

● High school diploma or equivalent

● Strong computer aptitude and attention to detail

● Comfortable working in Adobe Illustrator and vector-based software

● Ability to follow structured logic, checklists, and standard operating procedures

● Comfortable with internal systems (QBO, HubSpot, project trackers)
