Business Development Associate

 

Description:

You will identify and open conversations with the companies who need our work: early-stage biotech, clinical-stage pharma, and supplement brands. This is technical outreach, not volume cold-calling. Our prospects are scientists and founders, and they respond to people who understand what they are actually struggling with.

You will not be expected to be a formulation scientist. You will be expected to learn enough to hold a credible first conversation, and to know when to bring one of us in.

 

Responsibilities

  • Build and qualify prospect lists across target segments, primarily in the US and EU
  • Run outbound outreach via LinkedIn and email, and manage the follow-up sequence through to a scheduled call
  • Support and execute our LinkedIn content strategy
  • Maintain a clean pipeline: who has been contacted, what was said, what happens next
  • Prepare proposals and coordinate the handoff to the technical team
  • Track competitors, market movements, and relevant industry signals

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; a background in life sciences, pharmacy, or biotechnology is a strong advantage
  • One to three years in business development, sales, or client-facing work. Exceptional fresh graduates who can demonstrate strong writing skills will be considered.
  • Excellent written English. Most of this role is prose, read by people who will judge us by it.
  • Comfortable working across US and European time zones
  • Self-directed, and untroubled by the absence of an existing playbook
