Billing Manager

 

Description:

An American Chemical Company is seeking an experienced Billing & Invoicing Manager with a strong background in collections and accounting. The ideal candidate will manage the company’s billing operations, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and oversee collection processes. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with finance and operations teams. The candidate should be fluency in English is a must.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contracts.
  • Manage the collections process, including customer outreach, payment tracking, and dispute resolution.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and implement strategies to reduce outstanding balances.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations to resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain billing policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of billing specialists.
  • Prepare monthly reporting on invoicing and collections performance for senior management.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus).
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and collections best practices.
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for customer collections.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
