Assistant Manager

We are looking for Assistant Manager – Fleet Management based in Karachi

 Qualifications
·      Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
·      Candidates with relevant technical certifications in automotive maintenance and extensive hands-on experience may also be considered.

Knowledge and skills
·      5–6 years of experience in fleet maintenance, workshop operations, or a similar role.
·      Strong understanding of vehicle engines, EV motors, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, brakes, and preventive maintenance practices.
·      Experience managing both light and commercial vehicles is preferred.
·      Strong vendor management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
·      Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and maintenance record-keeping systems.
·      Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
To assist in achieving departmental objectives through;
·      Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of all company vehicles.
·      Develop and monitor vehicle servicing schedules.
·      Diagnose maintenance issues and coordinate repairs with workshops and vendors.
·      Monitor vehicle performance, maintenance history, and repair costs.
·      Conduct regular inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness and safety compliance.
·      Manage relationships with external workshops, spare parts suppliers, and service providers.
·      Ensure timely renewal of vehicle-related documentation, inspections, and certifications.
·      Control maintenance budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
·      Maintain detailed records of repairs, servicing, fuel consumption, and vehicle performance.
·      Investigate recurring vehicle issues and implement corrective measures.
·      Supervise drivers and maintenance-related personnel regarding vehicle care and reporting procedures.
·      Prepare periodic fleet maintenance reports for management.
