Prospect Research Specialist

Description:

As a Prospect Research Specialist, you will play a critical role in enabling our sales team to focus on outreach and relationship-building. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure our sales database contains accurate, up-to-date contact information for key decision-makers at target nonprofit organizations.

This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in data management, and a passion for supporting nonprofit organizations.

What You’ll Do

1. Update Existing Contacts (50% of your time):

• Verify and update contact details in Salesforce, including job titles, email addresses, and phone numbers.
• Ensure LinkedIn profile links and other critical data are accurate and current.

2. Add New Contacts (40% of your time):

• Research and identify new decision-makers and influencers at target nonprofit organizations.
• Focus on roles like VP of Advancement, Director of Planned Giving, and Major Gifts Officer.
• Create comprehensive, non-duplicate records in Salesforce.

3. Ensure Data Quality (10% of your time):

• Follow best practices for data consistency and quality.
• Document updates and flag any conflicting or unclear information to supervisors.

What We’re Looking For

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong research skills with experience using tools like LinkedIn and Hunter.io.
• Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRMs is a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written communication skills in English.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in a sales support, data entry, or prospecting role.
• Familiarity with nonprofit organizations and their structure.
