Mechanical Technician

Description:

International Packaging Films Limited (IPAK) is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join their team at their Lahore-based production facility. This position is responsible for ensuring the mechanical integrity and smooth operation of BOPP film production lines and related machinery.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial environment and demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. You will play a key role in reducing equipment downtime, improving efficiency, and supporting installation and commissioning of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute routine and preventive maintenance tasks for BOPP film lines and associated mechanical equipment.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical faults in production machinery.

• Conduct mechanical overhauls and repairs involving gearboxes, pumps, valves, and other rotating equipment.

• Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new mechanical equipment.

• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation in compliance with quality and safety protocols.

• Provide technical support to production teams during breakdowns to ensure minimal downtime.

Requirements:

• 🎓 Qualification: DAE in Mechanical or equivalent technical certification

• 🧰 Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance roles

• 📘 Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, and manuals

• 🔧 Strong mechanical troubleshooting and decision-making skills

• ⏱️ Willingness to work in rotational shifts as per operational needs
