It Intern

Description:

• Assist with the installation and basic support of network servers and devices.
• Help maintain and monitor local networks (LAN), internet connections, and internal systems.
• Support daily computer operations and help ensure systems run efficiently.
• Assist in managing users, groups, and permissions in Active Directory.
• Provide basic desktop support for Windows, Mac, and Linux computers.
• Help troubleshoot simple network and computer issues.
• Assist with system backups and documentation tasks.
• Monitor system logs and report any issues to senior staff.
• Support IT staff in maintaining hardware such as PCs, printers, and network equipment.
• Work on help-desk tickets and learn how to resolve common IT problems.
• Provide remote support to users when required (with supervision).
• Learn and follow IT procedures, security practices, and company policies.
• Send daily task updates to the supervisor.
   

Requirements
 

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and common computer troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPN basics).
• Interest in learning about switches, routers, firewalls, and network security.
• Basic knowledge of virtualization concepts (e.g., Hyper-V or similar).
• Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
