As an Axon instructor, you are the programme. You plan and deliver live sessions, track student progress, and own your cohort's outcomes. Success looks like students leaving with better grades, sharper exam technique, and the confidence to back themselves on paper day.

All positions require familiarity with the Edexcel, AQA, and Cambridge IGCSE specifications. Please indicate your subject(s) and board expertise when you apply.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver live, structured IGCSE lessons in a cohort-based online format, balancing syllabus coverage with exam technique and student engagement across Edexcel, AQA, and Cambridge specifications as required.
- Design and adapt lesson materials — including practice questions, worked examples, and revision resources — aligned to the assessment objectives and mark scheme conventions of each board.
- Track each student's progress across the cohort and flag early signs of underperformance to the Axon team before they compound.
- Provide timely, specific feedback on student work — not just a grade, but a clear explanation of what to improve and how.
- Participate in weekly check-ins with the Axon team to review cohort performance, share teaching observations, and refine the programme based on what is and is not working.
- Maintain clear session records and attendance logs via Axon's internal tools.
- Communicate proactively and professionally with students during sessions and with parents where relevant, always through Axon's designated channels.
- Contribute subject-specific insight to Axon's curriculum development as the programme grows.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience teaching or tutoring IGCSE students in at least one of the open subjects listed above.
- Strong working knowledge of all three examination boards — Edexcel, AQA, and Cambridge — including their syllabuses, assessment objectives, and mark scheme logic. Candidates fluent in two boards will be considered; all three is strongly preferred.
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt teaching style to different learning needs within a single cohort.
- Reliable, structured, and self-directed — able to prepare and deliver sessions independently.
- Comfortable in a fully online teaching environment (Zoom or equivalent) and with standard productivity tools.
- Access to a reliable personal device (iPad, laptop, or equivalent) and a proper remote work setup — including stable internet and a quiet, professional environment for live sessions.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- A bachelor's degree in the relevant subject area or Education is preferred; equivalent teaching experience will be considered.
- Prior experience in a cohort, classroom, or group tutoring setting is a significant advantage.
