Description:
DEWA Institute, a highly respected non-profit organization with a legacy of over six decades in inclusive education and specialized care for children with disabilities, is seeking a committed and empathetic HR Manager to join its senior leadership team in Karachi.
This position is ideal for someone who not only brings expertise in human resources but also a deep understanding of the values of inclusion, compassion, and purpose-driven work. The HR Manager will play a critical role in driving the institute’s HR operations, fostering a supportive workplace culture, and aligning human capital strategies with the goals of education and rehabilitation for differently-abled children.
Human Resource Operations:
Oversee and manage the full spectrum of HR functions including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee training, performance management, and exit formalities.
Inclusive Culture Development:
Promote and maintain an empathetic, diverse, and inclusive work environment that reflects the values of the institute and supports staff working in special education.
Workforce Strategy & Planning:
Collaborate with academic and rehabilitation departments to ensure effective staffing, succession planning, and workforce development strategies aligned with institutional goals.
Compliance & Policy Alignment:
Develop, update, and enforce HR policies that comply with local labor laws and accommodate the specific needs of a special education environment.
Employee Wellbeing & Growth:
Champion initiatives that promote staff morale, professional development, and mental health, thereby enhancing employee engagement and retention.
Solid and proven experience in human resource management, specifically within the education or non-profit sectors
Strong leadership, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal communication skills
Deep passion for working in inclusive and supportive learning environments
Good understanding of local labor laws, and knowledge of educational and special needs compliance will be an added advantage
Ability to design and implement HR strategies that enhance institutional impact and employee satisfaction
