Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced HAC Technician to join our technical services team. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience working in hospitals and be well-versed in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Hospital Air Conditioning (HAC) systems, including HVAC systems used in surgical rooms, ICUs, laboratories, and other sensitive areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspection, servicing, and preventive maintenance of HAC systems installed in hospitals.
- Install and commission HVAC systems in medical facilities in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Diagnose faults and perform corrective repairs on chillers, air handling units (AHUs), ventilation systems, and other climate control systems.
- Ensure temperature and humidity control is maintained as per healthcare regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and generate service reports.
- Coordinate with hospital facility teams to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance and repair activities.
- Comply with safety standards and internal protocols while working on medical facility equipment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in a hospital environment as an HAC or HVAC Technician.
- Technical diploma or certification in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, or Mechanical Technology.
- Strong knowledge of medical-grade HVAC systems and cleanroom air quality requirements.
- Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems) integration is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills under time-sensitive conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or in teams.
