Description:
RAG Process LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Draftsman to join our Oil & Gas engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering drawings, piping layouts, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and 3D models for upstream, midstream, and downstream oil & gas projects. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, with a solid understanding of piping systems, process equipment, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed piping layouts, general arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, and equipment layouts using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Develop accurate Piping Isometric Drawings for fabrication, installation, and construction.
- Create and maintain 3D models of piping systems, process equipment, and plant layouts.
- Assist in the preparation and revision of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and engineering documentation.
- Incorporate engineering changes and client comments into project drawings while maintaining revision control.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Process, Civil, Electrical, and Instrumentation engineers to ensure design accuracy and project compliance.
- Ensure all drawings comply with international Oil & Gas standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM, and ISO where applicable.
- Perform drawing reviews and quality checks before issuing documents for construction or fabrication.
- Maintain engineering documentation and drawing records in accordance with company quality procedures.
- Provide drafting support during project execution, site installation, commissioning, and as-built documentation.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Certification in AutoCAD Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, or Industrial Process Plant projects.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and 3D modeling software.
- Experience preparing Piping Layouts, P&IDs, Isometric Drawings, Equipment Layouts, and fabrication drawings.
- Good understanding of piping components, valves, fittings, structural supports, and process equipment.
- Familiarity with international engineering codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, ISO).
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under project deadlines.
