MEPCorp Consult is looking for a Fresh Electrical Draftsman to join our engineering team. The candidate will assist in preparing professional electrical drawings using AutoCAD and will work closely with our engineers and design team on various MEP and electrical projects.
This is an entry-level opportunity for a motivated individual who wants to develop practical skills and build a career in electrical drafting and MEP design.
Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD according to project requirements and company standards.
- Assist engineers in preparing electrical design drawings, single-line diagrams, lighting layouts, power layouts, and other electrical documentation.
- Update and revise drawings based on engineering comments and client requirements.
- Maintain proper drawing standards, layers, symbols, dimensions, and annotations.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, neat, and properly organized.
- Assist in preparing drawing sets for design development, tender, and construction stages.
- Coordinate with the engineering and drafting team to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain proper documentation and revision control of drawings.
- Learn and follow relevant electrical and MEP drafting standards.
Key Skills
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and electrical drafting.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and electrical drawings.
- Ability to read and understand electrical layouts and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
- Basic knowledge of lighting, power distribution, cable routing, earthing, and other electrical services will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, dimensions, symbols, and drafting practices.
- Willingness to learn professional electrical design and drafting standards.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office will be an advantage.
Qualifications
- DAE Electrical / relevant technical qualification.
- Fresh candidates with 0–1 year of experience are encouraged to apply.
