Description:

We’re looking for a Senior Video Editor who goes beyond just editing someone who understands storytelling, pacing, and audience retention. This role is designed for individuals who want to evolve into a YouTube Content Strategist, taking ownership of content performance, direction, and growth over time.

Key Responsibilities

* Edit high-quality long-form content (talking head videos, podcasts, interviews)

* Apply advanced storytelling techniques to improve audience retention and watch time

* Collaborate with a team of editors, designers, and content leads to ensure consistency and quality

* Optimize videos with engaging hooks, pacing, transitions, and visual storytelling

* Work closely with content and strategy teams to align edits with overall content goals

* Stay updated with YouTube trends, editing styles, and audience behavior

* Growth Responsibilities (Strategic Exposure)

* Contribute ideas for improving video performance (retention, CTR, engagement)

* Assist in analyzing YouTube analytics (watch time, drop-offs, click-through rates)

* Collaborate on thumbnail/title ideation and content direction

* Gradually take ownership of content strategy for specific channels

* Work toward managing content workflows and guiding junior editors

Requirements

* 3–5+ years of professional video editing experience

* Strong portfolio in long-form content (YouTube, podcasts, interviews)

* Proficiency in tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent

* Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and audience psychology

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

* Basic understanding of YouTube metrics and content performance is a plus
