Description:
We are looking for a sharp YouTube Content Strategist & Scriptwriter to own the creative front-end of our production pipeline. In this role, your job starts well before the script: you will research market demand, uncover high-CTR topics and packaging angles, and write high-retention scripts that keep viewers hooked from the first three seconds to the end screen. You won’t just be typing words on a page—you will architect videos visually and structurally for maximum watch time and audience growth.
What You Will Do
- Topic Discovery & Ideation: Research niches, competitor channels, and trending formats to pitch high-potential video concepts, unique packaging angles, and working titles/thumbnails before scripting begins.
- Deep Research & Outlining: Break down complex topics, case studies, and niche data into tight, logical story arcs that balance substance with entertainment.
- Long-Form Scripting: Write well-paced, engaging long-form YouTube scripts (8–15+ minutes) tailored specifically to target audiences and creator tones.
- Short-Form Scripting: Script fast-paced, high-impact YouTube Shorts engineered to stop the scroll and drive subscribers.
- Retention Engineering: Implement proven YouTube retention mechanics—cold opens, open loops, narrative stakes, pattern interrupts, and visual payoffs—to maximize Average View Duration (AVD) and Click-Through Rate (CTR) alignment.
- Visual Direction for Post-Production: Format every script with clear two-column or inline cues (B-roll descriptions, sound design tags, kinetic typography, and motion cues) so our editing team has a seamless roadmap to follow.
What We Need
- A Proven YouTube Portfolio: You must provide script samples paired with links to published videos you have written for established YouTube channels. (Applications without relevant YouTube links will not be reviewed).
- End-to-End YouTube Understanding: Demonstrated ability to spot why a video performs—from the packaging (Title/Thumbnail angle) down to the retention curve.
- Conversational, Native-Level English: Writing that sounds punchy, natural, and effortless when spoken aloud—never academic, robotic, or AI-padded.
- Editor-Minded Scripting: A strong sense of visual pacing that anticipates asset gathering, scene transitions, and editor workload.
- Reliability & Speed: Comfort with turning around structured outlines, research briefs, and polished drafts on agency deadlines without sacrificing depth.
