Description:

The YouTube Podcast Video Editor will be responsible for editing long-form podcast episodes and transforming them into professional, engaging video content tailored for YouTube audiences. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro with proven experience in podcast-style editing, video/audio synchronisation, and YouTube optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

·      Edit long-form podcast videos and interviews for YouTube publication.

·      Sync and enhance audio and video footage for consistent quality and pacing.

·      Add visual branding, including intros, outros, transitions, subtitles, and lower-thirds.

·      Collaborate with content creators to ensure the final product aligns with brand and audience expectations.

·      Optimise content for YouTube through compelling thumbnails, metadata, and SEO-friendly descriptions.

·      Create short-form highlight clips for social media distribution (Reels, Shorts, TikTok).

·      Manage version control, backups, and timely delivery of final files.

·      Stay current with video editing trends and best practices in podcast production and YouTube content strategy.

Required Qualifications

· Proven expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro (must-have skill).

·      Experience editing podcast-style content for YouTube or other digital platforms.

·      Strong understanding of audio cleanup and enhancement techniques.

·      Familiarity with YouTube SEO and viewer retention strategies.

·      Attention to detail, creativity, and visual storytelling ability.

·      Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently.

·      Bonus: Experience with motion graphics or basic animation using After Effects or similar tools.

Preferred Education

·      Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Film Studies, Communication, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
