Temenos Islamic Banking Consultant

Description:

We are actively seeking an experienced Temenos Islamic Banking Consultant to join a high-performing FinTech transformation team based in Karachi. This is a unique opportunity to work on advanced Islamic core banking projects involving Temenos Transact, with direct impact on business-critical banking operations across leading institutions.

The ideal candidate must have a solid command of Temenos Transact, with in-depth functional expertise in Islamic banking modules such as Murabaha, Ijara, Mudarabah, Wakala, and Profit Distribution System (PDS). Prior hands-on experience in at least three full-cycle implementations is required, with the ability to design, configure, and support end-to-end product deployment within compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead or support the implementation and configuration of Temenos Islamic Banking modules, including product definition, lifecycle setup, and customer journeys

• Provide subject matter expertise on Murabaha, Ijara, Mudarabah, Wakala, PDS, and related Shariah-compliant financing structures

• Configure and optimize Arrangement Architecture (AA) for Islamic retail and corporate lending products

• Manage LC/Guarantees, facility structures, and complex product combinations within Temenos

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, QA, developers, and client-side stakeholders

• Analyze and interpret Shariah regulations and ensure that system configurations align with Islamic financial compliance standards

• Provide production support and system enhancements post go-live

• Document functional specifications, test cases, configuration guides, and training materials

• Support client teams with training, UATs, and knowledge transfer sessions

• Contribute to continuous improvement of Islamic banking templates and reusable components

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 successful full-cycle Temenos Islamic Banking implementations

• Deep functional expertise in PDS and other core Islamic modules

• Proven hands-on experience with Arrangement Architecture (AA)

• Strong knowledge of LCs, guarantees, retail and corporate Islamic financing

• Experience in regulatory compliance, product definition, and customizations in Islamic banking

• Based in Karachi with the ability to work onsite with client teams

• Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage deliverables independently and contribute in a high-pressure project environment
