A prominent financial institution is seeking a Team Leader – Credit (Agri Finance) to join their credit team in Karachi. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned banking professional with deep expertise in agricultural finance to lead credit operations, assess risk, and drive lending strategies in the agribusiness sector.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive banking experience, particularly in Agri Finance, and have the ability to manage credit portfolios, ensure compliance, and maintain productive relationships with clients across the agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Agri Finance Credit function by evaluating loan applications, credit risk, and ensuring prudent lending practices.

• Develop and manage a portfolio of agriculture-related clients, offering customized credit solutions.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies in credit decision-making.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline credit processes and ensure timely disbursement.

• Monitor portfolio performance, mitigate risks, and proactively manage delinquencies.

• Liaise with regulatory authorities, agri-business stakeholders, and internal audit teams to maintain standards and reporting.

• Train and mentor junior credit staff in agricultural financing strategies and evaluation techniques.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Agri-Business, or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years of banking experience, with a strong background in Agri Finance and credit assessment.

• Deep understanding of agricultural markets, credit risk, financial analysis, and lending principles.

• Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.

• Ability to build and maintain client relationships and deliver tailored credit solutions.
