Senior Part Qualified Auditor

Description:

You will work on audit engagements for small and medium-sized entities and help prepare accounts and tax work for our UK and UAE clients. Hands-on audit experience is essential for this role. Full training will be provided on UK and UAE tax and cloud accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

Audit

• Plan and carry out audits of small and medium-sized entities in line with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs)
• Prepare audit working papers, perform testing and document findings to a high standard
• Apply IFRS (including IFRS for SMEs) in reviewing and preparing financial statements
• Follow best audit practices and internal quality procedures
• Communicate with clients to request information and resolve queries

Accounting

• Prepare bookkeeping, management accounts and year-end accounts for UK and UAE clients
• Work on cloud accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero and others
• Carry out bank reconciliations, journals and ledger reviews

Taxation (training provided)

• UAE: VAT returns and Corporate Tax computations and filings
• UK: Self Assessment tax returns, Corporation Tax (CT600) and Capital Gains Tax computations
• Help keep track of client deadlines and compliance requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of audit experience in a practice environment (essential), preferably with small and medium-sized entities
• Senior part-qualified ACA / ACCA / ICAP / CIMA (affiliates and finalists encouraged to apply)
• Sound knowledge of IFRS (essential)
• Practical understanding of ISAs and audit procedures
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and/or Xero is a strong advantage
• Knowledge of UK or UAE tax is a plus, though training will be given
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
