Senior Azure Integration Engineer

Description:

365 Rack is a Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform consultancy delivering enterprise projects for clients in the UK and internationally. We are looking for a senior engineer to design, build and support integrations on Azure Integration Services (AIS), with API Management and Logic Apps at the core.

You will connect Dynamics 365, Dataverse, ERP and third-party systems through secure, monitored and well-governed APIs and workflows. You will also be the go-to technical voice for integration architecture across client projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end integration solutions using Azure Integration Services: Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid and Azure Functions.
• Build and maintain Logic Apps (Standard and Consumption) workflows, including stateful/stateless design, custom connectors, error handling and retry patterns.
• Design, publish and secure APIs in Azure API Management: policies, products, versioning, rate limiting, OAuth 2.0 / Entra ID authentication and developer portal setup.
• Implement messaging and event-driven patterns (queues, topics, pub/sub, dead-lettering) for reliable, decoupled integrations.
• Integrate Dynamics 365 / Dataverse with ERP, finance and third-party systems through REST, SOAP, OData and file-based interfaces.
• Set up monitoring, alerting and logging with Application Insights, Log Analytics and Azure Monitor.
• Build CI/CD pipelines for integration components using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, with infrastructure as code (Bicep, ARM or Terraform).
• Apply security best practice: Key Vault, managed identities, private endpoints, VNet integration and least-privilege access.
• Produce integration designs, interface specifications and run books; take part in client workshops and technical design reviews.
• Mentor junior developers and set integration standards and reusable patterns across the team.

Required skills and experience

• 6–7+ years in software or integration engineering, including at least 3 years delivering production solutions on Azure Integration Services.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps (Standard and Consumption), including complex workflows, built-in and custom connectors, and the Integration Account.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure API Management: policy authoring, API lifecycle and versioning, security, and self-hosted or internal gateway setups.
• Solid working knowledge of Azure Service Bus, Event Grid and Azure Functions (C#/.NET).
• Good understanding of integration patterns: request/reply, publish/subscribe, message routing, idempotency, retries and compensation.
• Experience with REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, XSLT and data mapping/transformation.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for CI/CD, and with Bicep, ARM templates or Terraform.
• Good grasp of Azure security and networking: Entra ID, managed identities, Key Vault, VNets and private endpoints.
• Clear written and spoken English; comfortable working directly with UK-based clients and stakeholders.
