Role Description

The Senior Accountant role at Kausar Medico is a full-time, on-site position based in Karachi. The Senior Accountant will manage general ledger activities, prepare and review financial statements, and oversee accounts payable and receivable. Daily responsibilities include reconciling bank and cash accounts, monitoring inventory-related financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations. The role also involves supporting audits, improving financial processes and controls, preparing management reports, and collaborating with operations and management teams to provide financial insights for decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in financial accounting, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support management reporting and decision-making.
• Solid understanding of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as advanced skills in spreadsheets and data analysis tools.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (such as ACCA, CA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Prior experience in a senior accounting or supervisory role, preferably within retail, pharmacy, or healthcare-related businesses.
