Project Quantity Surveyor

Description:

To manage project quantities, measurements, cost estimation, and billing documentation to ensure accurate cost monitoring and effective financial control of construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and material calculations based on project drawings and specifications.
2. Prepare and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for civil construction works.
3. Conduct site measurements to verify completed work and maintain accurate measurement records.
4. Prepare interim payment applications and assist in the preparation of running bills.
5. Monitor project quantities and identify variations between estimated and actual quantities.
6. Assist in preparing cost estimates, rate analysis, and budget calculations.
7. Coordinate with site engineers, project management, and consultants regarding measurements and quantity discrepancies.
8. Maintain records of material consumption, work progress, and quantity variations.
9. Review drawings and technical specifications to ensure accuracy of quantity calculations.
10. Assist in the preparation of final bills and project completion documentation.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• DAE in Civil Engineering (Minimum).
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.
• Experience in civil engineering projects, preferably dams, canals, irrigation, roads, or infrastructure projects.
