Medical Billing Specialist

 

Description:

The Medical Billing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Karāchi. This role is responsible for preparing, submitting, and following up on medical claims to insurance companies, Medicare, and other payers to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. Day-to-day tasks include verifying patient insurance coverage, entering and reviewing billing data and ICD-10 codes, monitoring and resolving claim denials, and reconciling payments and adjustments. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of U.S. healthcare billing practices, insurance guidelines, and revenue cycle management, with a focus on maximizing clean claim submission and timely reimbursement.

 

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare, review, and submit accurate medical claims to insurance payers.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
  • Follow up on unpaid, rejected, or denied claims and resolve billing issues promptly.
  • Post insurance and patient payments accurately.
  • Review and reconcile accounts receivable to ensure timely collections.
  • Communicate professionally with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients regarding billing inquiries.
  • Identify billing errors and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and payer regulations.
  • Document account activity and maintain accurate billing records.
  • Assist with month-end reporting and revenue cycle performance metrics.

 

Qualifications

  • Must have atleast 6 months - 1 year of hands on experience as a Medical Biller
  • Candidates should possess strong knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to interpret clinical documentation.
  • Experience with EHR/EMR and medical billing software, Specially ECW/Advance MD
  • Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding systems.
  • Candidates should possess skills in identifying, analyzing, and resolving denials and billing discrepancies.
  • Candidates should possess attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and familiarity with medical billing software or practice management systems.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Relevant experience in medical billing, healthcare revenue cycle, or a similar role is preferred.
  • A diploma or degree in healthcare administration, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is beneficial.
  • Ability to work in Night Shifts
