Legal & Policy Research Assistant

The Center for Law and Justice is actively seeking a motivated Legal & Policy Research Assistant to enhance our team. This pivotal role is suited for a professional passionate about addressing social issues through rigorous legal research and advocacy, particularly concerning minority rights, political representation, and climate change initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research on assigned social issues.
• Draft reports, briefs, and submissions to bolster legal proceedings and advocacy efforts.
• Collaborate effectively with the legal team and external stakeholders to drive policy and legal reforms.

Qualifications:

• Possession of an LLB degree from a recognized university is required. Additionally, a Master’s degree in Law, Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science, or Public Policy is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal/policy research or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience with minority rights, political representation, or climate change is highly desired.
• Strong analytical capabilities and proficient use of legal research databases and tools.
• Excellent command of written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
