Description:
Japan Electronics is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Stock Auditor responsible for conducting physical verification, auditing, and evaluation of warehouse and godown stocks. This role requires the ability to work in physically demanding conditions and deal with large-scale stock handling, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and security across all inventory operations.
The ideal candidate must have a strong background in physical stock verification, auditing practices, and experience working with electrical home appliances inventory, including large SKU volumes.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Audit & Verification
- Conduct physical stock counts across warehouses, godowns, and storage points as per audit schedules.
- Reconcile actual physical stock with ERP/system records (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or custom solutions).
- Verify stock against GRNs, transfer notes, sale orders, and dispatch documentation.
- Perform cycle counting, random checks, and full inventory audits periodically.
Security & Controls Implementation
- Identify and implement preventive controls for stock shrinkage, pilferage, and unauthorized access.
- Develop and enforce stock safety checklists and compliance tools for warehouse staff.
- Validate stock movement processes (inward/outward), returns, and damaged goods handling.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare detailed stock audit reports, variance summaries, and root cause analyses.
- Document non-conformities, policy violations, and operational gaps.
- Present audit findings with actionable recommendations to senior management.
Compliance & Best Practices
- Ensure compliance with internal stock policies and industry-standard storage protocols.
- Benchmark auditing practices against leading retail and electronics companies.
- Work closely with inventory, warehouse, and security teams to ensure procedural alignment.
Working Conditions
- Capable of working in non-air-conditioned environments such as godowns and logistics yards.
- Ability to handle stock auditing of over 3000+ SKUs, including refrigerators, ACs, LED TVs, kitchen appliances, etc.
- Physically fit to lift, check, and count large appliances and cartons during verification.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in Inventory Management or Audit are a plus.
Experience:
- 2–4 years of stock or inventory audit experience, preferably in electronics or retail warehouse settings.
- Familiarity with large SKU-based systems and appliance categories.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, stock audit tools, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or others).
- Able to develop stock security protocols and use barcoding/QR systems.
