Description:
We are looking for an Import Executive with expertise in import documentation, government liaison, tender participation, and contract execution. Based in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi, this full-time role is vital for ensuring the smooth operation of our international procurement and compliance processes.
You will serve as the primary contact for coordinating with clearing agents, handling customs formalities, managing Letters of Credit (LCs), and participating in government tenders and contract submissions. If you have experience with SBP, TDAP, and relevant government departments, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic supply chain environment.
Manage end-to-end import operations, including coordination with customs, freight forwarders, and clearing agents.
Serve as a liaison with government departments such as TDAP, SBP, and Customs for regulatory compliance.
Handle tender documentation and ensure proper submission for official contracts.
Oversee and process LCs, remittances, and other banking documentation related to import payments.
Maintain up-to-date documentation for import regulations, supplier agreements, and shipment records.
Ensure adherence to local and international import/export laws and standards.
Use ERP tools and MS Office to track, analyze, and report on import operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Commerce (B.Com).
At least 2 years of relevant experience in import procedures, LC handling, and government documentation.
Strong knowledge of customs rules, LC processing, and import/export frameworks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP software.
Excellent coordination, communication, and follow-up abilities.
