Finance Manager

Description:

The Finance Manager will oversee financial planning, reporting, compliance, and operational finance. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project-based financial management, gross margin tracking, and accounting systems (preferably QuickBooks Online).

Financial Management & Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Analyze financial performance, including gross margin by project/team
• Develop financial dashboards and KPIs for leadership

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts
• Support revenue projections and cost optimization strategies
• Monitor budget vs actuals and recommend corrective actions

Project & Commercial Finance

• Track project profitability, cost allocation, and billing cycles
• Partner with delivery teams on margin improvement
• Validate pricing and deal profitability before contract closure

Accounting & Compliance

• Oversee bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with FBR/Provincial tax and regulatory requirements
• Manage audits and statutory reporting

Systems & Process Improvement

• Optimize use of QuickBooks Online and related finance tools
• Improve internal controls, reporting automation, and workflows

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• ACCA / CA / CMA (preferred)
• 5–8+ years of relevant experience (IT services/consulting industry preferred)
• Experience in project-based financial environments
• Strong command of QuickBooks Online or similar ERP/accounting systems
• Advanced Excel or financial modelling skills
