Description:
The Finance Manager will oversee financial planning, reporting, compliance, and operational finance. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project-based financial management, gross margin tracking, and accounting systems (preferably QuickBooks Online).
Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Analyze financial performance, including gross margin by project/team
- Develop financial dashboards and KPIs for leadership
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts
- Support revenue projections and cost optimization strategies
- Monitor budget vs actuals and recommend corrective actions
Project & Commercial Finance
- Track project profitability, cost allocation, and billing cycles
- Partner with delivery teams on margin improvement
- Validate pricing and deal profitability before contract closure
Accounting & Compliance
- Oversee bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with FBR/Provincial tax and regulatory requirements
- Manage audits and statutory reporting
Systems & Process Improvement
- Optimize use of QuickBooks Online and related finance tools
- Improve internal controls, reporting automation, and workflows
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- ACCA / CA / CMA (preferred)
- 5–8+ years of relevant experience (IT services/consulting industry preferred)
- Experience in project-based financial environments
- Strong command of QuickBooks Online or similar ERP/accounting systems
- Advanced Excel or financial modelling skills
