Data Engineer

Description:

Speridian Technologies is actively hiring a Data Engineer with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience for a full-time, permanent, on-site role at a banking client located in Karachi. This opportunity is best suited for professionals with a strong background in Python, Teradata, Informatica, SQL, and Data Warehousing, and working knowledge of modern Business Intelligence (BI) tools like Power BI and Tableau.

In this role, the Data Engineer will be tasked with building, optimizing, and maintaining data pipelines and models to facilitate reliable, scalable, and efficient data processing and analytics across the organization. You will be expected to design and develop ELT pipelines using Python (PySpark) and build well-structured data models with Informatica and Teradata to support critical reporting and analytical functions.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Designing, building, and maintaining scalable ELT pipelines using Python (PySpark).

• Developing and optimizing data models with Informatica and Teradata.

• Collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders to deliver clean, trustworthy datasets for dashboards and reports.

• Integrating data from diverse sources to support analytics in tools such as Power BI and Tableau.

• Ensuring high performance and data quality across all pipelines, and troubleshooting issues proactively.

• Implementing best practices in data modeling, transformation logic, and technical documentation.

• Supporting business units by ensuring data consistency, availability, and usability in alignment with industry standards.

This is a high-impact role involving close collaboration with data scientists, BI teams, and analysts, demanding strong communication and problem-solving skills.
