Credit & Risk Policy Analyst

 

Description:

Basic Responsibility/ Function:

This role involves developing, updating and consolidating risk management policies to align with industry standards and regulatory requirements. It ensures timely renewal of the Risk Appetite Statement and compliance with credit risk guidelines. Additionally, analyzing policy changes, coordinating approvals and monitors emerging industry risks.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and update the Risk Management Policies and Manual in alignment with industry best practices, evolving business needs and regulatory requirements.

• Consolidate all risk management policies and procedures into a single, comprehensive repository to enhance procedural clarity and guidance.

• Prepare, update and ensure the periodic renewal of the Risk Appetite Statement in accordance with prescribed timelines.

• Review policies, procedures and product programs, ensuring alignment with credit risk guidelines.

• Gather and analyze data on proposed policy changes from business units, discuss potential impacts, and present findings to senior management for decision-making.

• Coordinate and facilitate the arrangement of management and board meetings to secure timely approval of policies and procedures.

• Address and resolve queries raised by business and risk units related to credit policies and procedures.

• Compile and update Industry Risk Assessment Reports, providing insights into emerging risks, industry trends and the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies.

• Enhance RMG's monitoring capabilities by issuing alerts on adverse industry movements, regulatory changes and other relevant developments.

 

Qualification and Experience:

Minimum bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, FRM, CFA, ACCA or ACMA with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the financial sector.
