Business Development Executive

We're on the lookout for a highly driven and skilled Upwork Bidder who can help us win quality clients and grow our project pipeline consistently. If you love crafting compelling proposals, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong sense of ownership, you'll fit right in.

 

As our Upwork Bidder, you'll act as the first point of contact between Busona and potential clients. Crafting tailored, persuasive proposals that convert leads into real projects. You'll be at the front line of our growth, helping shape how we present ourselves to the world.

You must have:

 

  • Excellent written communication and persuasion skills.
  • A proactive mindset. You don't send generic bids, you personalize every single proposal.
  • 1-2 years of proven experience bidding on Upwork, preferably for a design, tech, or creative agency.
  • Good understanding of UX design, web development, or digital services.
  • Ability to analyze job posts and identify the best-fit opportunities to pursue.
  • Experience tracking bid activity, response rates, and conversions.
  • Familiarity with tools like Notion, Google Sheets, or similar platforms for lead tracking.
  • Prior experience bidding for US-based clients is a strong plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Bonus points if you have experience with Webflow, UI/UX, or web development projects.

 

 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

 

  • Browse and identify relevant Upwork job postings daily that align with Busona's services.
  • Write highly personalized, compelling proposals tailored to each client's specific needs.
  • Manage and keep Busona's Upwork profile optimized and up to date.
  • Maintain a tracker of all bids, client responses, and conversion outcomes.
  • Coordinate with internal team leads to gather portfolio pieces, case studies, and pricing inputs for proposals.
  • Follow up with interested leads and help facilitate discovery calls.
  • Flag high-potential opportunities and collaborate on pitch strategy.
  • Document what's working (and what isn't) to continuously improve our win rate.
