Assistant Manager

Description:

Yunus Textile Mills is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong professional to join our finance team as an Assistant Manager – Finance (Processing Accounts) at our Landhi, Karachi location. This role is ideal for someone with a finance or accounting background and a minimum of 3 years of experience, particularly in utility cost management, budgeting, and financial reporting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of complex financial processes, particularly those related to utility operations across multiple departments. Key Responsibilities:

• Estimate and manage fuel costs, including handling accruals, PVs, and JVs across multiple units

• Finalize utility-related general ledger entries and trial balances for effective cost allocation

• Share accurate monthly utility budgets within strict timelines

• Prepare and execute cost allocation workings along with associated accounting entries

• Develop detailed machine-wise and department-wise processing allocation models

• Maintain up-to-date utility consumption data and generate fuel comparison reports

• Provide cost workings for utility equipment overhauls

• Create detailed consumption and variance analysis reports, including entity-wise, genset-wise, steam, and water

• Maintain comprehensive monthly gas billing history

• Manage utility payments, petty cash, and miscellaneous utility-related transactions

• Ensure proper tracking and follow-up on RO water usage and consumption

• Monitor and report on store consumption and repair & maintenance (R&M) for utility stores

• Support the Board of Directors’ presentations with detailed utility data inputs

• Contribute to the preparation of annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets

• Perform any ad-hoc tasks as directed by the management team

Qualifications:

• Graduate degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting

• Strong command of financial reporting, utility costing, and budget planning

• Proficient in MS Excel and financial systems

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines
