Description:
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager to lead and expand our retail, wholesale, and corporate sales operations within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, managing key accounts, and achieving sales targets in line with company policies and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Development & Market Expansion
- Develop and execute sales strategies for retail dealers, wholesalers, and corporate clients
- Identify new markets, customers, and business opportunities within the steel sector
- Ensure sustainable sales growth while maintaining profitability margins
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with dealers, distributors, and corporate buyers
- Conduct regular market visits to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues promptly
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms within approved company policies
Corporate & Institutional Sales
- Handle corporate accounts, project-based sales, and bulk orders
- Coordinate with internal teams for timely execution of orders and deliveries
- Prepare and submit proposals, quotations, and sales presentations
Sales Target Achievement
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and pricing structures
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and market intelligence to management
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports
- Ensure compliance with company policies, credit controls, and recovery procedures
- Coordinate with accounts, logistics, and production teams for smooth operations
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant sales experience (steel or construction materials preferred)
- Proven experience in retail, wholesale, or corporate sales within the steel industry
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple sales channels
- Sound understanding of steel products, market dynamics, and distribution networks
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM/reporting tools
Education
Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field)
