Voip Engineer

Description:

The VoIP Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise VoIP infrastructure based on OpenSIPS, Asterisk PBX, WebRTC, and MySQL. The role involves managing SIP signaling and media services, ensuring secure and reliable voice communications, and supporting high-availability, carrier-grade deployments.

Key Responsibilities

•⁠ ⁠Configure and manage OpenSIPS as a SIP Registrar, Proxy, Session Border Controller (SBC), WebRTC Gateway, and traffic gateway.

•⁠ ⁠Design and maintain SIP routing, registrations, authentication, load balancing, and security mechanisms.

•⁠ ⁠Deploy and administer Asterisk PBX solutions, including dial plans, IVRs, call queues, conferencing, voicemail, and API integrations.

•⁠ ⁠Support WebRTC services, including WSS, STUN/TURN/ICE, and browser-based communications.

•⁠ ⁠Administer MySQL databases for subscriber information, routing data, registrations, and Call Detail Records (CDRs).

•⁠ ⁠Monitor system performance, troubleshoot SIP/RTP issues, optimize service availability, and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills

•⁠ ⁠Strong knowledge of SIP, SDP, RTP/SRTP, WebRTC, and TCP/IP networking.

•⁠ ⁠Hands-on experience with OpenSIPS, Asterisk PBX, MySQL, and Linux administration.

•⁠ ⁠Proficiency in troubleshooting using tools such as Wireshark, sngrep, tcpdump, and Homer.

•⁠⁠Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with experience supporting production VoIP environments.
