Description:
The System and Network Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of an organization’s IT infrastructure, including VMware-based virtualized environments. This role ensures optimal performance, security, and availability of systems, servers, networks, and related technologies to support business operations.
What You Will Do
- System Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter Server)
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, Microsoft SQL Server, operating systems, and core applications
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; perform tuning and optimization
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls (Active Directory / LDAP)
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system-level issues
- Network Administration
- Configure, manage, and support LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks
- Maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points
- Monitor network performance, availability, and security
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues
- Implement network segmentation, routing, and switching policies
- Security & Compliance
- Implement and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices
- Monitor systems and networks for security threats and vulnerabilities
- Manage firewalls, antivirus/EDR, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis
- Support IT projects, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements
- Ensure high availability and minimal downtime for critical systems
What Will You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in system and/or network administration in a well reputable organization
