Support Engineer

 

Description:

We are looking for an L1 Support Engineer with strong Azure knowledge and basic database skills to manage day-to-day operational tasks. This role focuses on cloud operations, monitoring, incident handling, and executing scripts/playbooks—not traditional desktop or IT support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day IT-related customer complaints and operational support tasks.
  • Perform scheduled operational activities and routine tasks on cloud infrastructure.
  • Monitor infrastructure capacity and system performance on Azure.
  • Execute scripts and playbooks based on operational requirements.
  • Generate and extract reports from MS SQL and Oracle databases.
  • Track, communicate, and escalate technical issues until closure.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth operational performance.

Required Skills & Expertise

  • Azure Concepts: VMs, Storage, Networking
  • ITIL Knowledge: Incident, Request, and Change management
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Experience with SQL (queries, report generation)
  • Basic understanding of Oracle DB (added advantage)
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to follow SOPs, playbooks, and technical processes
