Study Abroad Counsellor

Description:

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Study Abroad Counselor to guide students through the study abroad process, from program selection to final departure. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, and in-depth knowledge of various study destinations, visa requirements, and the overall application process. You will work closely with students to help them make informed decisions about their education and career paths abroad.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Education: Bachelor's degree (required)BBA/BS; a degree in counseling, international relations, education, or a related field is preferred.

* ⁠Experience: Minimum of 2 years in study abroad counseling, education consulting, or a related field.

* ⁠Knowledge: Familiarity with the admission requirements, visa processes, and educational systems of major study destinations (such as the US, UK, Canada, Germany, and Australia).

* ⁠Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and attention to detail.

* ⁠Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office, CRM software, and online application portals.

* ⁠Other Requirements: Ability to work effectively in a team and independently; strong research skills; commitment to providing high-quality counseling services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Counsels students on available study abroad programs, requirements, and application processes.

* ⁠Assists with the preparation of application documents, including SOPs, CVs, recommendation letters, and financial documents.

* ⁠Stay updated on visa processes, eligibility criteria, and documentation for study destinations.

* ⁠Provide support in scholarship applications and financial aid opportunities.

* ⁠Maintain relationships with universities, colleges, and educational institutions globally.

* Organize and conduct workshops, webinars, and informational sessions for prospective students.

* ⁠Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations when advising students.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:

* Experience in guiding students from diverse backgrounds.

* ⁠Up-to-date knowledge of scholarships, financial aid, and funding options.

* ⁠Multilingual skills are a plus.

* ⁠ICEF/British Council Certification or training in counseling or international education is advantageous.
