Description:
The Site Engineer – Civil will be responsible for supervising and executing civil works related to the development, renovation, and maintenance of Japan Electronics retail outlets and facilities. The role ensures that all on-site construction activities are carried out according to approved drawings, project timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient project execution and maintaining the company’s brand and infrastructure standards across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Execution
- Supervise daily civil construction activities at project sites including new shop development, renovations, and refurbishments.
- Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
- Monitor site progress and ensure quality standards are maintained throughout project execution.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project implementation.
- Assist in reviewing site layouts, drawings, and BOQs prior to construction activities.
- Support the project team in resolving technical and operational issues at the site.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure construction work complies with safety regulations, company standards, and approved designs.
- Conduct regular site inspections and maintain quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure finishing work and shop layouts align with Japan Electronics’ brand standards.
Cost Monitoring & Documentation
- Assist in preparing BOQs, material estimates, and project documentation.
- Verify contractor work measurements and assist in bill verification processes.
- Maintain proper records of site activities, reports, and project documentation.
Progress Reporting
- Provide regular site progress updates and reports to the HOD Admin & Projects.
- Track project milestones and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of civil construction and site management
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and BOQs

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or DAE in Civil Engineering (PEC registration preferred)
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in site supervision, construction projects, retail outlets, or commercial building projects
- Experience in multi-site or retail development projects will be preferred
