Description:
We are seeking a highly creative, conversion-obsessed Shopify Developer & UI/UX Specialist to own, build, and optimize NumNumm’s front-end web experience.
You are not just a developer who writes code or sets up Shopify themes—you are a UI/UX Thinker who understands design psychology, mobile-first responsiveness, and conversion rate optimization (CRO). You know how to design clean, high-converting "Single-Page Box Builders", optimize page speeds under 3 seconds, seamlessly integrate local payment gateways, and configure high-performing Shopify apps.
Key Responsibilities
- Store Architecture & Custom Development: Customize Shopify themes (Liquid, HTML5, CSS3/Sass, JavaScript) to build a sleek, minimalist, and mobile-optimized D2C storefront.
- High-Converting UI/UX Design: Design clean, breathing web layouts (similar to Little Spoon and Nurture Life) that drive high conversion rates and effortless checkout flows.
- Single-Page Meal Builder: Build and maintain our interactive, mobile-first meal builder with dynamic cart logic (e.g., minimum meal count constraints, dynamic totals, category tabs).
- Payment Gateway & Tech Integrations: Seamlessly integrate and manage local payment gateways (PayFast, Safepay, Card Checkout, Bank Transfer verification) and custom WhatsApp API triggers.
- Plugin & App Ecosystem Management: Configure, audit, and optimize essential Shopify apps for analytics, heatmaps, SEO, and retention (e.g., Microsoft Clarity, Klaviyo/Shopify Email, WhatsApp tools) without bloating site speed.
- Page Speed & Technical SEO: Maintain site load speed under 3 seconds, ensure clean technical SEO tags (Canonical URLs, Schema, Open Graph OG tags for WhatsApp/Social sharing), and resolve cross-browser/mobile bugs instantly.
- A/B Testing & Funnel Optimization: Work directly with the Founders and Growth Lead to implement UI tweaks that increase conversion rate (CR) and reduce cart abandonment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Location & Mode: Must be based in Karachi and available for 100% On-site work.
- Shopify & UI/UX Track Record: Hands-on experience in Shopify store development, custom Liquid code editing, theme customization, and UI/UX design for D2C/E-Commerce brands.
- UI/UX Philosophy: Strong portfolio demonstrating clean, modern e-commerce visual design, mobile-first UX layout choices, and user-centric checkout flows.
- Shopify Tech Stack: Proficient in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify's backend platform.
- App & Integration Knowledge: Experience with Shopify App integrations (Heatmaps, Email/WhatsApp marketing, SEO tools) and local Pakistani payment gateways.
- Result-Driven Mindset: Clear understanding of CRO principles (how UI/UX layout directly impacts CTR, bounce rates, and sales conversions).
- Self-Starter: Ability to take direct ownership of website performance, UI aesthetics, and technical troubleshooting.
