Description:
As a Shift Analyst, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests in respective shift or day duty to ensure products/supplies according to established standards and guidelines. Handle laboratory equipment and supplies safely and effectively. Shift analyst is responsible to document laboratory activities for reference purposes. Ensure timely communication of daily/weekly and monthly reports in absence of Sr. chemist. Moreover, shift analyst handles TRI/LTIR, COPQ, FPC, Complaint Index, OI, Cost Smart, OTIF.
This role reports to Plant Quality Assurance Manager.
What You Will Do
- Shift Work Testing & Calibration Activities – Ensure a safe lab environment and shift sample testing for in-process, supplies, and finished products. Compile data for the daily activities and laboratory KPIs for the shift. Ensure accuracy in testing and timely completion of results. Prioritizing testing and communication based on operational/business needs and departmental plants. Prepare and standardize chemical reagents when necessary. Ensure necessary laboratory supplies and equipment is available. Ensure special test analysis when necessary. Work with production to ensure timely in-process analysis.
- Documentation, Data Analysis and Record Activities – Maintain accurate laboratory logbook and reports. Maintain equipment monitoring records. Aid KPI data in system. Work with operations providing technical assistance to identify, investigate and resolve process discrepancies. SAP – enter all finished product results and release in timely manner.
- IMS & Compliance Activities – Maintain records. Ensure special test analysis on needed basis. Perform plant and warehouse round, GEMBA walls to ensure compliance. Re-test Out-of-Specification results where possible.
- Training & Development Activities – Ensure training related to all activities and testing being performed. EHS and FS training and orientations to ensure compliance, observations, and ensure training for new hires and interns in shift. Evaluate test results to improve technicians and instrument performance. To acquire training in current GMP’s, GLP’s, ISO, IMS and standard test methods and procedures. Maintain training records.
