Description:
We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications. You’ll work across our native iOS and Android apps, web platform, REST APIs, live maps, and payment infrastructure to ensure every critical flow works flawlessly from the moment a rider books a trip to the second the payment clears.
This is a high trust,high visibility role.You’ll be embedded as manual QA with engineering and product, influencing how quality is built into the product team from day one not bolted on at the end
Key Responsibilities
- Manage test planning, test case design and execution across mobile (iOS & Android) and web, covering functional and edge cases.
- Test maps and geolocation flows GPS accuracy, ETA logic and driver-to-rider matching.
- Write SQL queries to validate data integrity and backend state.
- Plan and run load, stress, and performance tests simulating peak traffic scenarios.
- Validate end-to-end payment flows including failures, retries, and refunds.
- Perform root cause analysis understanding what broke, why, and how to prevent it.
- Collaborate with developers, product and ops, ensuring clear documentation of risks and blockers.
- Context-switch across mobile, web, API and infrastructure tracks per sprint priorities.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience with mobile app testing.
- Ride hailing and mobility experience is highly desired (maps, geolocation).
- Hands on with API testing: Postman, REST Assured or similar.
- Strong command on SQL queries and data integrity validation.
- Load & stress testing experience (JMeter, k6, etc).
- Experience testing payment flows failures, retries, and reconciliation.
- Basic knowledge of server environments, log reading, and deployments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and ops.
- Ability to context-switch across multiple product surfaces and testing tracks.
