Description:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Piping / Pipeline Design Engineer with extensive experience in pipeline design for an Islamabad-based position. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to independently manage design activities in compliance with relevant standards and project requirements.
- Develop and manage pipeline specifications, stability, and crossing calculations.
- Prepare and review LLI (Long Lead Items) data sheets, alignment sheets, and design documentation.
- Draft valve data sheets, MTO (Material Take-Off), and BOQ (Bill of Quantities).
- Create material requisitions and conduct technical bid evaluations.
- Perform Stress Analysis and prepare stress calculation reports
- Piping placement and layout procedures
- Provides technical support to the project group.
- Perform site visits to ensure the work is progressing as per project specifications and quality standards.
- Perform pipeline stress analysis associated with encroachment activities; including, Heavy equipment, roadway, and railroad crossings over existing pipeline.
- Design of the all-Mechanical equipment / systems, Civil Structural Engineering and the impact of Piping design on other systems / disciplines
With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable Applicants Will Have/be
- Tertiary qualifications or a related discipline (e.g. B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering)
- Minimum of 10 years of pipeline design experience, adhering to ANSI/AWWA standards.
- Expertise in designing pipelines as per ASME B31.4 and ASME B31.8.
- Ability to understand and apply the terms and conditions of the Contract to the Project in hand.
- Strong organizational capabilities with attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
- Able to independently manage timelines and deliverables with limited oversight.
- Skilled at risk and scope assessment across simultaneous engineering initiatives.
