Senior Embedded Design Engineer

Description:

MTI Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Design Engineer to lead firmware development projects with a focus on communication protocols, IoT integrations, and sensor technologies. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge systems including DLMS/COSEM protocols, IEC meteorology standards, and IoT communication technologies across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain firmware on ARM Cortex M4 microcontrollers (e.g., STM32).
• Design and implement DLMS/COSEM and IEC 62056-21 protocol libraries.
• Integrate meteorology standards IEC 62052-11, 62053-21, 62053-22 for measurement devices.
• Develop embedded firmware using RTOS for real-time applications.
• Collaborate on electronics design and testing.
• Work with IoT connectivity solutions including Cellular, G3-PLC, Wireless MBus, LoRa.
• Troubleshoot and resolve firmware and hardware issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering from a reputable university.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in embedded firmware development.
• Proven experience with ARM Cortex M4 platforms (STM32).
• Hands-on experience with DLMS/COSEM and IEC protocols.
• Strong understanding of basic electronics and hardware interfacing.
• Demonstrable experience with RTOS.
• Knowledge of various IoT technologies and communication standards.
